Let’s Face the Reality

Let’s race the reality. If retail industry fails, many will fail.

Malaysia Shopping Malls Association president Tan Sri Teo Chiang Kok said once the MCO is lifted, it would still take some time for mall operators to go back to “business as usual.”

“Once the MCO is lifted in the middle of April, the following one month will be slow, ” he told StarBiz. Teo said that while the MCO was bad for business, he admitted that it was “a necessary evil.”

“When the MCO is lifted, the government needs to ensure that the mechanisms are in place for businesses to pick up where they left off. If businesses fail or factories close down, it will be very difficult to recover, ” he said.
